Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 19, 2026
This policy covers the Quest2Fitness iPhone app and this website, quest2fitness.com. Short version: your workouts stay on your phone, we do not track you, we do not run ads, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone.
Who we are
Quest2Fitness is published on the App Store by Chunky Senanayake under the Brownricebandit name. If you have a privacy question, email nycfreshkid@gmail.com.
What stays on your iPhone
Everything you log stays on your device. That includes exercises, sets, weight, reps, dates, body weight entries, your level and XP, your companion, your loot and gear, and your lifetime totals. None of it is uploaded to our servers, because we do not have servers that hold user data. The app works offline.
The app keeps its own safety copies of your workout history on your device so a bad restart does not cost you your data. Those copies stay on your phone too.
What leaves your iPhone
Two things, and neither is linked to your identity.
- An anonymous ID. When you first open the app, Firebase Authentication (a Google service) creates a random user ID for you. It is not connected to your name, email, phone number, or Apple ID. Firebase also assigns an installation identifier to the app on your device.
- Anonymous crash reports. If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics (a Google service) receives a report so we can find and fix the bug. A report contains technical details: the stack trace, your device model, your iOS version, and the app version. It never contains your workout data.
On the App Store privacy label these appear as Identifiers (User ID and Device ID) and Diagnostics (Crash Data), all under Data Not Linked to You.
Camera
The plate scan feature uses your iPhone camera to read the weight on the bar. The app only asks for camera access when you use that feature, and you can decline and type the weight in by hand. We do not collect photos or video from your camera.
What we do not do
- No advertising, no ad networks, and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics that follow your behavior, and no third-party tracking SDKs.
- No selling, renting, or trading of data.
- No location data.
- No account, so no email address, password, or profile on our side.
Children
Quest2Fitness is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included. If a child uses the app, the same rules apply: the data stays on the device.
Keeping and deleting data
Your workout data lives on your iPhone until you delete it. Deleting the app deletes that data and removes the anonymous ID from your phone. Crash reports are kept by Firebase for a limited time (Google documents this as 90 days) and are then deleted.
Because the ID is anonymous, we cannot look you up by name or email. If you want help removing it from Firebase as well, email us and we will walk you through it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what data is held about you, to have it deleted, or to object to how it is used. We hold almost nothing, and none of it identifies you, but you can email nycfreshkid@gmail.com with any request and you will get a real answer. We do not sell or share personal information.
Where data is processed
Firebase is run by Google, which may process the anonymous ID and crash reports in the United States and other countries where it operates.
This website
quest2fitness.com does not use cookies, analytics, ad pixels, or sign-up forms. Our hosting provider, Hostinger, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. Links to the App Store take you to Apple, which has its own privacy policy.
Third-party services
The app uses two services from Google's Firebase platform: Firebase Authentication and Firebase Crashlytics. You can read how Google handles that data in the Firebase privacy and security documentation.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever starts handling more data than it does today, this page will be updated first and the date at the top will change.
